A helping hand for first time buyers in Bexley

23rd September 2011 Print

Struggling first time buyers in Bexley may find that their dream of home-ownership is closer than they think as house builder Orbit Homes prepares to launch not one, but two brand new developments this weekend.

Homes at Espirit in Crayford and The Station in Welling, aim to make home ownership more affordable with the help of the HomeBuy Shared Ownership scheme, a scheme which allows buyers to purchase a share in a brand new home and pay a subsidised rent on the part they don’t own.

“HomeBuy Shared Ownership is a great opportunity for those who are struggling to get on the property ladder.” Said Sharon Streatfield, Regional Sales and Marketing Consultant at Orbit Homes.

“By purchasing a share in a new home the mortgage and deposit requirements of are far less than those that would be needed if the same home were purchased on the open market. Furthermore, not only are the initial costs of buying less but the monthly costs of shared ownership usually work out less than renting a similar property privately too!”

Sharon will be available to speak to interested buyers at the launch event which runs from 1 pm – 5pm on Saturday 24th September at Espirit, Perry Street, Crayford, DA1 4SH.

Espirit @ Perry Street is a beautiful development of one and two bedroom apartments all including a fitted kitchen with oven, hob and extractor, gas central heating and allocated parking.

Situated in the heart of Welling, the spacious new homes at The Station, off William Foster Lane will offer desirable living at an affordable price. A selection of two bed apartments are available, all of which come complete with a fitted kitchen, allocated parking and a 10 year NHBC guarantee. Some apartments even benefit from their own balcony.

“With prices at Espirit starting at just £50,050 for a 35% share of a one-bedroom apartment and prices at The Station starting at just £72,800 for a 40% share of a two bedroom apartment we expect both developments to prove incredibly popular,” Says Sharon.

“Appointments at the open day are filling up quickly so I would urge anyone interested to contact us as soon as possible to book their place.”
