FirstBuy success continues in Liverpool, Anfield

Miller Homes has announced that the Government backed FirstBuy scheme is now available at its Connought Green development in Anfield.

The news follows the success of its Bridgewater Park development in Netherley where the last 5 properties sold out in four weeks with the help on the FirstBuy scheme.

FirstBuy is an equity loan scheme created to help first time buyers and those in need of a more affordable way to buy their own new build home. Unlike other schemes, with FirstBuy buyers own 100% of their home from day one. Any household with an annual income of £60,000 or less and unable to afford to buy a suitable property on the open market is eligible for the scheme.

FirstBuy offers eligible buyers an equity loan for up to 20% of the property value. This loan is jointly funded by Miller Homes and the Government and it is interest free for the first five years. This allows people who qualify to own their own home by paying just 80% of the value before they move in. The major benefits of the FirstBuy scheme are that it reduces the amount of deposit required and places the homebuyer in a stronger position when applying for a mortgage.

At Connaught Green the FirstBuy scheme is offered on the choice of 2 bedroom luxury apartments with an en-suite and courtyard parking, and on selected plots of 3 and 4 bedroom family homes. Prices for a 2 bedroom apartment, start at £69,950. On the FirstBuy scheme homebuyers could buy a new apartment for just £55,960 now.

Connaught Green is conveniently located for commuting into the centre of Liverpool or to the M62 motorway. There are good public transport links, plus Newsham Park and Croxteth Country Park are within walking distance.
