Taylor Wimpey is urging first-time buyers to visit its Heath Meadows development of new homes for sale in Leighton Buzzard – and discover how FirstBuy can help them to purchase their first property.

Aspiring first-time buyers who are struggling to get a foot onto the property ladder can get a helping hand with the Government-backed FirstBuy scheme at Heath Meadows, Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after development of property for sale in Leighton Buzzard.

This fantastic initiative, in association with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), lets qualifying purchasers secure selected new build homes in Leighton Buzzard with a mortgage of just 75% of the full purchase price – plus a deposit as low as 5%, subject to status.

The spacious three-bedroom ‘Elder’ terraced townhouse at Plot 101 is one of the houses for sale in Leighton Buzzard available under the FirstBuy scheme, and so can be accessed by qualifying purchasers for 80% of its £189,500 purchase price – that’s just £151,600 – including a £142,125 mortgage and a deposit of only £9,475.

Meanwhile, the end-terraced ‘Elder’ Leighton Buzzard property at Plot 100 is also available for 80% of its £194,500 purchase price under the FirstBuy incentive – that’s just £155,600, including a £145,875 mortgage and a deposit of only £9,725.

Taylor Wimpey and the HCA will boost the purchaser’s down-payment with a joint loan of 20%, which is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term, or when the property is sold. To be eligible for FirstBuy, customers must be first-time buyers with a household income below £60,000.

Tony Woodman, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “FirstBuy offers first-time buyers a unique opportunity to leave renting behind and step on to the property ladder in style.

“But, with only a limited number of properties available to buy through this highly popular initiative at Heath Meadows, I would stress to anyone interested in taking advantage of the offer that they must be quick to avoid missing out.”

The ‘Elder’ at Heath Meadows offers an exceptionally well-planned layout, featuring a large living room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, a contemporary kitchen/breakfast room and a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, two well-proportioned bedrooms can be found off the first-floor landing alongside a main bathroom, while the spacious master bedroom with en-suite shower room enjoys appealing seclusion on the top floor.

Other houses available at Heath Meadows include the three-bedroom ‘Campion’, from only £174,950 and the four-bedroom ‘Heather’ townhouse, from as little as £199,950.

Visitors to Heath Meadows can explore the ‘Heather’ showhome, offering them the chance to experience the impressive layout and exceptional use of space a typical Taylor Wimpey home affords.

Heath Meadows occupies a convenient location in popular Leighton Buzzard, and is well served by local amenities, including a nursery and schools for children of all ages.

Lying just two miles from the town centre, the development is within easy reach of a wide selection of high street and independent stores, a twice-weekly market and a wealth of pubs, restaurants, health clubs and leisure facilities.

Quick links to London make a home at Heath Meadows highly desirable for commuters, with the A5 and M1 close by and the town’s rail station offering regular services to the capital and the North. Those travelling further afield will appreciate that Luton Airport is only 18 miles from the development.
