Homebuyers are recognising the potential of Persimmon Homes’ new Hazelmead development in Diss where the foundations are just being laid, with several properties bought off-plan already.

Jon Gibbs, sales director for Persimmon Homes Anglia, comments: “We’ve already sold off plan eight of the 58 properties which are being built at Hazelmead and interest remains high.

“Buying off plan means purchasers can finish their homes to their own tastes. They can choose from a range of kitchens, worktops and kitchen and bathroom tiles, as well as select either a gas or electric oven. Those who buy early can also have their pick of the plots too.

“Another advantage of buying off-plan is that people have more of an opportunity to save for their deposit while their home is being built. This can be a major benefit for first time buyers especially.”

Homebuyers who are able to afford a little extra can take advantage of the Finishing Touches range to add carpets of their choice, or wardrobes and other fixtures and fittings before they move in.

The Hazelmead development, situated off Frenze Hall Lane in Diss, will see the first buyers moving in around January.

House styles which are proving popular include the two-bedroom semi-detached Adlington design and the three bedroom Masefield.

The Adlington, which is priced from £111,160, has an enclosed back garden and a parking space and is ideal for first time buyers. On the ground floor is a lounge / dining room with patio doors to the garden, a kitchen with an integrated oven and hob, and a cloakroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom.

Alternatively, the Masefield three bedroom housetype has just been released off-plan, with prices starting at £162,950. The first Masefields will be available to move in to from spring 2012.

Hazelmead enjoys a lovely semi-rural location on the outskirts of Diss and with countryside opposite the development. Diss is surrounded by the beautiful Waveney Valley countryside and Frenze Beck Nature Reserve can be explored nearby.

Ideal for commuters, the development is within walking distance of Diss railway station, with trains reaching London in one and a half hours, and it’s just 25 miles to Norwich.
