New houses in Norwich are perfect for families

Moving into a new property in Norwich was a stress-free experience for Rachel Edge – despite being pregnant – thanks to the Taylor Wimpey team at Hunters Park.

Along with moving home, having a baby can be one of the most testing and stressful times in a person’s life – so most people would try and avoid combining the two!

But for Rachel Edge (33), discovering she was pregnant became the motivation for looking at the selection of houses in Norwich which were suitable for her growing family.

Thankfully, with lots of help from the team at the Hunters Park development of new build homes for sale in Norwich, Rachel and her partner Neil were able to secure and move into their new place with the minimum of fuss.

“We were living in Norwich city centre and Neil also had a place in a village nearby,” says Rachel. “We’d been talking about moving to a larger home for a while, but the discovery we were expecting our first child made us look at the sort of new houses in Norwich we would like to start our family in.

“We visited the ‘Shalford’ showhome at Hunters Park and fell in love. It featured pretty much everything we could ever want or need from a house. We knew it was the one for us, and from the moment we walked through the door the Taylor Wimpey team were so helpful and understanding – they helped us every step of the way.”

The team at Hunters Park helped Rachel and Neil (37) to make a smooth move to their new home by finding a buyer for Neil’s old property through the easymover scheme.

This helpful initiative sees Taylor Wimpey take responsibility for the move by finding an estate agent, arranging a solicitor and paying the fees. And because the couple bought off-plan, they found the Sales Executives were always happy to show them how the construction of their new home was progressing before their big move at the start of the summer.

“Even now that the three of us are living in our family home, it’s great to see the site manager and the sales team around and to know they will be able to answer any questions or problems we have with the house,” says Rachel. “The whole experience has been really nice – it’s felt like we were moving in with friends!”

The quiet location of Hunters Park is perfect for the new family’s requirements, giving them easy access to Norwich and transport links away from the city while being part of an exciting new community in Costessey.

“We’re still in the development’s early stages, but there is a school and will soon be a social centre, shops and other facilities. Everyone is really friendly and wants to get to know each other – in fact I’m hosting a wine evening for some of the local ladies in the area soon,” says Rachel.

A fantastic range of properties is currently on sale at Hunters Park, including two-bedroom homes from as little as £119,995, three-bedroom houses from just £154,995, four-bedroom houses from only £164,995 and five-bedroom properties from £239,995.

The four-bedroom ‘Notley’ detached home, priced from £199,995, for example, features a spacious lounge opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus light and airy kitchen with utility area, a separate dining room and a handy guest cloakroom completing the ground floor.

Upstairs, the landing leads to the en-suite master bedroom, three further well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom, while outside the property benefits from a garage and allocated parking.

Like all the homes at Hunters Park, the ‘Notley’ is completed to a high standard specification including central heating, double glazing, a luxury fitted kitchen from Symphony, Roca sanitary ware, a choice of ceramic tiles, chrome ironmongery and stainless steel kitchen appliances.

Conveniently located on the outskirts of the neighbourhood of Costessey, Hunters Park is just six miles from the top-quality shopping, sports, leisure, entertainment and cultural amenities of Norwich.

Frequent rail services operate from the city to London Liverpool Street and for destinations further afield there is nearby Norwich International Airport.

With the Norfolk Broads and miles of unspoilt coastline also close by, a home at Hunters Park is perfectly placed for making the most of all that this beautiful county has to offer.
