Buy your first home in Hinckley with help from Crest

First time buyers are being offered a helping hand on to the property ladder in Hinckley.
Crest Nicholson is offering customers the chance to defer paying up to 15% of the price of selected properties at Canal Reach with its EasyBuy incentive. It means first time buyers could find their money goes further and they’re able to buy a home of their own sooner than they anticipated.
Amanda Benjamin, sales manager for Crest Nicholson, commented: “According to the advice centre FirstRungNow.com the majority of aspiring first time buyers are worried about their ‘property future’ and don’t feel enough is being done to help them. At Crest we’re offering to help make homeownership more affordable with our EasyBuy scheme. It not only reduces the size of the mortgage required but also the amount of the deposit needed up front from around 20% to just 5%.”
With EasyBuy a deposit of just £8,248 and a mortgage for £140,208 could be enough to buy a three-bedroom Huntingdon style home at Canal Reach.
Customers will have no rent or interest to pay on the remaining share of the £164,950 purchase price. The outstanding loan amount is interest free for five years and can be repaid after 10 years or when the property is sold.
“We’ve recently seen an increase in enquiries from first time buyers who want to fly the parental nest or escape the rental trap to a home of their own. Several customers have already seized the opportunity to buy their first home with the help of EasyBuy,” Amanda added.
“They’ve told us that without the incentive they would have had to save longer to be able to afford to buy and we’re delighted we were able to help them realise their dreams of homeownership.
“One lucky customer could find that setting up home is even easier as we’re offering to include carpets and curtains in the price of a three-bedroom Hanbury style property at Canal Reach.”
The Hanbury is ready to move into. It’s available on the open market at £179,950, or can be purchased for an initial outlay of £153,950 with EasyBuy.
“Canal Reach is really starting to take shape now, with 14 of the homes already occupied,” Amanda said.
“Part of its success is due to the location as the homes are close to the canal with views over the open countryside, yet the development also enjoys easy access to the amenities in Hinckley town centre. Canal Reach is also a popular choice with the commuters who work in Coventry and Nuneaton as it’s conveniently placed to access the motorway network.”
