Chester retirement village scoops second national award
Chester retirement village, Boughton Hall, has scooped a second national award.
The community was highly commended by judges of the Best Retirement Development category at the prestigious UK Property Awards 2011 held in a glittering ceremony in London.
It is the second award for the community, on Filkins Lane, Chester. Earlier this year Boughton Hall was named Best UK Housing With Care Scheme of its size at the National Housing for Older People Awards.
Boughton Hall is a complete retirement community offering one and two bedroom luxury apartments and outstanding communal facilities. The first residents moved in two years ago. The second phase of development at the village is due to begin next year with further apartments added to the living options.
The village has been developed by Enterprise Retirement Living in association with Barnardo’s, which used to run a children’s home on the site.
Neil Davison, of Enterprise Retirement Living said: “We are delighted that the judges have recognised the fact that Boughton Hall has delivered what we set out to deliver – beautiful homes and varied social facilities with the option for residents to live the life they choose in comfort and luxury.
“Being highly commended in such a prestigious award is testament to the high standard of Boughton Hall’s offering.”
