Martin Brundle tests the Jaguar XKR-S
British racing driver and Jaguar Academy of Sport Ambassador, Martin Brundle tested the Jaguar XKR-S recently at Silverstone race circuit in between his busy Formula One schedule.
Martin Brundle was a British racing driver and competed within many motorsport disciplines including, Formula One and the Le Mans 24 hour race. Martin has a long-standing relationship with Jaguar, which he is able to continue through the Academy. The highlight of his racing career with Jaguar was winning the legendary Le Mans 24-hour race in 1990 in the XJR-12. Martin is still a key figure within the world of motorsport and is now part of the Formula One commentary team. His dedication to motorsport is a real inspiration for the Jaguar Academy of Sport Rising Stars and something they can take on board within their respective sports.
Martin Brundle, Jaguar Academy of Sport Ambassador, commented: “I am delighted to be a part of the Jaguar Academy of Sport and help Britain’s sports stars of tomorrow. It’s great to take the XKR-S around Silverstone, it’s the most powerful production sports car Jaguar has ever built. It takes me back to my Le Mans days.”

The Jaguar Academy of Sport aims to recognise, celebrate and inspire the very best of British sporting talent and success. This is fulfilled through a Bursary Fund and a unique Mentoring and Education Programme delivered through a series of workshops and talent days. Mentoring is key to the Academy and provides all the Rising Stars with the non-financial support they need in order to be successful and provides our Rising Stars with the opportunity to work with Britain’s sporting greats and their heroes who they hope to emulate.
