Stylish new terraced showhomes now open at Balbirnie Bridge, Markinch

Miller Homes, the UK’s largest independent housebuilder, has opened its doors to two new showhomes at its Balbirnie Bridge development in Markinch.

Househunters can now experience what living in one of the development’s stylish three bedroom terraced homes might be like. The new showhomes – one a Cather house type and the other an Irvine – are already attracting considerable interest after the opening weekend.

Anne Marie Britton, sales director for Miller Homes Scotland East, said: “Both the Cather and the Irvine appeal to a wide range of housebuyers such as families, young couples starting out or couples looking to downsize. What they have in common is that they don’t want to compromise on extra bedrooms when family or friends come to stay.

“Due to the versatility and practical layout of these house types, it isn’t surprising that people want to view them. What’s even better is that they are also incredibly affordable. It’s not often you can get a family home for just £163,000 – but you can at Balbirnie Bridge.”

The Irvine, priced at £163,000, has a particularly striking exterior and an imaginative ground floor layout which combines elegance and flexibility. The light-filled family kitchen is linked to the living room by double doors, allowing the two rooms to be opened into an adaptable living space. Upstairs, the three bedrooms include a large, comfortable master suite and a charming dual-aspect dormer room.

The Cather, priced at £175,000, is a practical and spacious home ideally suited to contemporary family living. It boasts three generous sized bedrooms – the master bedroom with an en-suite – and an integral garage. The open plan-kitchen and family/dining area will no doubt become the hub of the home, and with the French doors leading directly out to the garden, gives another dimension to entertaining in style.

Anne Marie added: “These are wonderful, affordable homes in a fantastic, tranquil setting. Balbirnie Bridge is a great place to live, coupling all the characteristics of country living with all the benefits of town living. What’s more, it is ideal for those commuting by train or road to Edinburgh or Dundee.”

Miller Homes is offering housebuyers the chance to swap their old home for a new home at Balbirnie Bridge thanks to its MiSWAP Home Exchange Scheme. Whether you are upsizing, downsizing or just looking for a like for like swap, MiSWAP Home Exchange could take the uncertainty and stress out of moving.
