Hackbridge apartments are available with FirstBuy

South London property-seekers are being urged to grab their chance to secure a brand new home for less at Taylor Wimpey’s sought-after Centrale development of apartments for sale in Hackbridge.
Fast-moving first-time buyers have been given a helping hand onto the property ladder by Taylor Wimpey at Centrale, the leading housebuilder’s popular development of flats for sale in Hackbridge, Surrey.
Since the new Government-backed FirstBuy incentive was launched at the development recently, there has been a rush of first-time purchasers in search of Hackbridge flats who have used the scheme to secure their brand new apartment at Centrale.
FirstBuy allows qualifying purchasers to secure selected Taylor Wimpey Hackbridge apartments for as little as 80% of their full purchase price – including a 75% mortgage and a 5% deposit, subject to status.
Fiona Creed, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Since launching FirstBuy at Centrale, we have experienced a steady stream of enquiries from would-be first-time buyers who had initially assumed ownership of new homes for sale in Hackbridge would be out of their reach.
“Many of these initial enquiries have led to home-hunters hopping on to the first rung of the Hackbridge property ladder at Centrale after they have found out how simple and affordable it is to purchase a home with the help of the scheme.
“In fact, it’s been so successful that the development of new build flats in Hackbridge currently holds the record for the most FirstBuy completions across the whole of our South West Thames region.
“While FirstBuy is still available at Centrale, it is limited to a selected number of plots, so I would urge those who dream of owning their first home to get in touch straight away to avoid missing out.”
FirstBuy works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which means that eligible purchasers only need put down a 5% deposit and obtain a 75% loan-to-value mortgage.
The loan is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.
For example, the fabulous Plot 14 one-bedroom apartment, priced £173,995, can be purchased with a 75% mortgage of just £130,496 and a 5% deposit of only £8,700, subject to status. Alternatively, two-bedroom two-bathroom apartments are priced from only £244,995.
A number of plots at Centrale boast views to Beddington Park or attractive private terraces, while many two-bedroom designs include en-suite shower rooms to master bedrooms.
All apartments enjoy access to a peaceful landscaped courtyard garden, which will provide the focal point for this landmark development, with seating areas and native trees and shrubs offering residents the perfect space for relaxation. Meanwhile, the building’s eco-credentials include solar panels and air-to-water heat pumps to selected properties.
Commuters will appreciate the well-connected location of the new homes. Hackbridge railway station, which lies in Zone 4, is less than 100 metres from the site and offers frequent services into London Victoria, Blackfriars and St Pancras International.
Local bus services operate along both London Road and Hackbridge Road, providing access to Croydon, Carshalton, Tooting and Wallington. The development is four miles from Morden Underground Station, with Northern Line services into London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross, while the M25 and M23 motorways are 10 miles away, and Gatwick Airport is just 18 miles from home.
