Miller Homes East Midlands is aiming to help even more people onto the property ladder in 2012 by holding a special HomeBuy Direct (HBD) weekend at its popular development, The Vales in Bingham.

The event takes place on 14 and 15 January and provides the opportunity for people to come and talk to Miller’s expert sales advisors about how they can make their dream home more attainable via HBD.

HomeBuy Direct is a Government initiative designed to help first-time buyers, renters and those living at home to make the move into affordable home ownership. It is currently available on a selection of properties at The Vales, and buyers are offered an equity loan of up to 30 per cent of the purchase price, co-funded by the Government and Miller Homes.

Any household earning £60,000 or less who cannot afford to buy a suitable property on the open market is eligible for the scheme.

The HBD weekend will be coupled with the opening of a new two-bedroom view apartment. This light, spacious ground floor apartment boasts extra benefits such as a double shower and an en-suite master bedroom.

Commenting on the forthcoming HomeBuy Direct weekend, Ann Crick, sales director for Miller Homes in the East Midlands, said:

“Part of what makes Miller Homes an award winning organisation, is the fact that we like to offer incentives to make moving affordable and give people security and confidence. By purchasing via HBD, buyers can pay as little as £53 per week, so starting 2012 in style in a new home is an affordable reality.

“The Vales is a prime location where residents can enjoy living in a relaxing and peaceful area whilst still taking advantage of excellent transport links and a large array of leisure and entertainment facilities.

“As an added bonus, we are also opening the doors to our new view apartment, allowing people to look around and see an excellent example of the type of property we have available via HomeBuy Direct.”

Amongst the other properties available via HBD, as part of The Vales second phase, is the Hardy-style townhouse. Priced at £199,950 or £139,965 with HBD, this four-bedroom property with a bright and airy first-floor lounge, and spacious family/dining room, also benefits from a detached garage, an unusually large landing and en-suite shower room as part of the master bedroom, adding the type of touch that makes Miller Homes so unique.
