Leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey West London is urging first-time buyers to hurry to secure new homes in Andover, property for sale in High Wycombe or houses for sale in Ruislip before the end of the stamp duty holiday.

Aspiring home-owners who are looking to step on the West London property ladder are being urged to reserve their choice of new homes in Middlesex, Hampshire or Buckinghamshire now – to make sure they have completed their purchase before the end of the stamp duty holiday.

Stamp duty is currently suspended for first-time buyers purchasing new homes for sale in West London below £250,000, but from 24th March 2012 the tax will once again apply at one per cent for all homes costing between £125,000 and £250,000.

Savvy buyers will appreciate the need to act without delay to ensure that their purchase is completed before this deadline – saving them up to £2,500 on the cost of buying new homes for sale in Ruislip, property for sale in Andover or houses for sale in High Wycombe.

The good news is there’s a fantastic selection of brand new Taylor Wimpey properties across the West London region which fit the criteria for the stamp duty exemption – at The Romans at Augusta Park development of houses for sale in Andover, at the Kingshill Grange development of new build homes in High Wycombe and at the Sandringham Park of property for sale in Ruislip.

Tim Betts, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Our stunning new homes across the West London region are already popular with first-time buyers looking for high-quality, great-value new homes, and the stamp duty savings provide yet another reason to choose one of our sought-after properties.

“I would urge would-be buyers to contact us without delay if they hope to secure the home of their dreams for less before the stamp duty holiday ends.”

At Kingshill Grange in High Wycombe, first-time buyers hoping to save on stamp duty can choose from a selection of stylish one and two-bedroom apartments, priced from just £169,995 and £199,995 respectively, and ready for completion before the end of the stamp duty holiday.

Alternatively, at The Romans at Augusta Park in Andover, there’s a two-bedroom coach-house apartment available for just £160,000 and a choice of three-bedroom houses priced from only £184,995.

Meanwhile, at Sandringham Park in Ruislip, one lucky purchaser can choose the one-bedroom Plot 357 ‘Drake’ apartment for only £219,995.

As well as saving on stamp duty, fast-moving first-time buyers can get help to step on the property ladder with the Government’s new FirstBuy scheme on selected Taylor Wimpey homes across the region.

This fantastic initiative lets qualifying purchasers secure their new home for as little as 80% of the full purchase price – including a 75% mortgage and a 5% deposit, subject to status.

The scheme works through a joint loan of 20% from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Taylor Wimpey, which is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold. To be eligible, purchasers must be first-time buyers and their total household earnings should be less than £60,000.

FirstBuy is available now with the stylish Plot 152 ‘Penn’ apartment at Kingshill Grange, for example, which can be accessed by a qualifying purchaser for 80% of its £169,995 price – that’s just £135,996.
