The Co-op named Best Current Account Provider 2011

The Co-operative Bank has been named as the UK's Best Current Account Provider by MoneySupermarket.com.

Its newly launched ‘Supers' awards recognises The Co-operative Bank as a market leader in offering great value to current accounts to customers along with acknowledging the bank's innovative products and first class customer service.

Speaking of the award, Robin Taylor, Head of Banking at The Co-operative Bank, said: "The news that we have been named as Best Current Account Provider by MoneySupermarket.com highlights our position as a genuine alternative for everyday banking. In the last year we have attracted a large number of customers from the big five banks which shows a real appetite to switch amongst account holders who are looking for better customer service and a responsible bank with a conscience.
