Taylor Wimpey is offering first-time buyers a leg up on to the property ladder at its sought-after Bluebell Croft development of properties in Kidsgrove.

The leading housebuilder has teamed up with the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), to offer qualifying purchasers the opportunity to secure selected new houses in Kidsgrove through the FirstBuy initiative for just 80% of their full purchase price – including a deposit as low as 5%, subject to status.

Carl Cooke, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “Bluebell Croft is the perfect place for canny first-time buyers to set up home – and the availability of FirstBuy with these Staffordshire properties offers potential purchaser a unique chance to leave renting behind and step on the property ladder in style.

“The development is also a more affordable option than living just over the border in Cheshire, where property prices can be much higher.

“It’s well connected too, with the M6 motorway within easy reach of this development of properties in Kidsgrove and the town’s railway station is just a mile from home, for direct services to Manchester and Stoke, as well as frequent trains to London.

“In fact, Kidsgrove is a great location for people who work in Manchester, but don’t want to pay the higher house prices you find in the city and surrounding counties.”

The spacious three-bedroom ‘Barwell’ terraced house is just one of the high-quality homes available under FirstBuy at Bluebell Croft, and can be accessed by qualifying purchasers for 80% of its £149,995 purchase price – that’s just £119,996 – including a deposit of only £7,500.

Taylor Wimpey and the HCA will boost the purchaser’s down-payment with a joint loan of 20%, which is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term, or when the property is sold. To be eligible for FirstBuy, customers must be first-time buyers with a household income below £60,000.

The ‘Barwell’ boasts a generous lounge/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, plus a contemporary fitted kitchen and a handy guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to two double bedrooms, a further bedroom which could alternatively be used as a home office or nursery, and a main bathroom, while two allocated parking spaces can be found outside.

Alternative three-bedroom designs at Bluebell Croft are priced from just £162,995, while magnificent four-bedroom detached properties are priced from only £210,000.

All new homes at the development are completed to the same high standard specification, including central heating, double glazing and fitted kitchens with integrated oven hob and hood.

Bluebell Croft is located off West Avenue in an established residential area bordered by green open space. The development enjoys a convenient location close to a range of amenities for day-to-day living, including shops, pubs, places to eat, a supermarket, a library, a health centre, a post office, a bank and schools for children of all ages.

Nearby Stoke-on-Trent has a rich history that grew from the pottery industry, and today is a vibrant city offering great shopping and leisure opportunities. For days out a little further afield, Kidsgrove is within easy reach of historic Cheshire, the Peak District and picturesque North Wales.

Bluebell Croft has excellent commuter links, being close to the A34, for convenient access to Newcastle-under-Lyme, plus the A50 for Stoke, while junction 16 of the M6 is just seven miles from home.
