First time buyers in Carlisle are invited to a special event this weekend (February11 / 12) to find out how Lovell could help them to step onto the property ladder.

Would be home owners who visit The Elms over the weekend can discover how the Government-backed FirstBuy scheme could assist them to purchase their first home at the development.

There will be a independent financial advisors on hand to talk to them about their options.

Elaine Taylor, regional sales manager for Lovell said: “The FirstBuy scheme is a fantastic way for first time buyers to get on the property ladder. They will receive a loan for 20% of the purchase price, jointly funded by us and the Government, meaning they may only need up to a 5% deposit and apply for an 80% mortgage. However, they will still own 100% of their new home from day one.”

FirstBuy is available to first time buyers or people wanting to return to home ownership, provided their household earnings are less that £60,000 a year.

Elaine added: “FirstBuy is the ideal option for people who thought they had been priced out of the property market. It makes moving possible for many who may have otherwise been unable to do so. But it’s just one of the ways we could help get homebuyers moving. We can tailor incentives to suit different purchasers’ needs. There’s no obligation for those who just want to come along to our open day and find out more.”

There are two stylish show homes at the development so potential purchasers can explore everything that the new properties have to offer. There’s something to suit all types of buyers at The Elms, including three and four-bedroom homes and some properties with garages. A new phase is due to launch soon, which includes some two-bedroom homes.

Prices start at just £99,996 with FirstBuy for a three-bedroom house (full price £124,995).

Four-bedroom homes are priced from £152,995.

Ideally located off the A595 Wigton Road and close to the M6 junction 43 and 44, The Elms benefits from a host of nearby amenities, including shops and restaurants.

For those who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, Heysham Park is nearby or they can venture to the city’s Bitts Park.

The area is also home to a wide choice of primary and secondary schools, and there are two children’s activity centres in the locality, as well as leisure and community facilities to keep the whole family entertained.
