Househunters advised to buy new with FirstBuy scheme in Oldbury

Buying a new build property at a Morris development in Oldbury is proving to be cost effective for first-time buyers worried about saving for a large deposit.
Homes at The Forge development on Brades Rise are available using the Government-led FirstBuy scheme, which allows first-time buyers to purchase a property for 80 per cent of its market value.
The scheme reduces the size of the deposit required from house hunters, and lowers mortgage repayments.
Cindy Vials, regional sales director for Morris, said: “The FirstBuy scheme is particularly attractive to buyers looking to purchase their first property as they need a much smaller deposit, making buying more cost effective than renting.
“New build homes are subject to greater sustainable and energy efficient building regulations so homebuyers make further savings on energy expenses.”
Morris currently has a selection of two-bed properties available at The Forge, starting at £110,500 under the FirstBuy scheme.
Cindy added: “The Forge is close to good schools and stunning parks, and has easy access to the M5 for commuting to Birmingham, making it perfect for young families and professionals alike.”
