Wizz Air to open its 8th base in Cluj, Romania

Wizz Air, the largest CEE based low fare-low cost airline has announced that it will open its 8th operating base in Cluj, Romania with one new A320 aircraft and local crew in May 2008.

Effective from today the carrier moved its entire Transylvanian operations to Cluj Airport, including flights to Budapest, Rome, Barcelona and London. The Dortmund route and the recently announced Cluj-Bucharest domestic flight will start at the end of February. New services to Valencia and Milan-Bergamo will be added three times a week, each commencing on 15 May 2008.

Concurrently the company has launched its recruitment for local cabin crew and pilots. Wizz Air is looking to hire approximately 40 people to fly the new aircraft from Cluj.
