Wizz Air enhances its services

Wizz Air, the largest low fare, low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe introduces new service enhancements. The new priority boarding option offers the customer the opportunity to be one of the first on board and have the greatest choice of seats.
At the present this option can be purchased for EUR 5 at the airports of London-Luton, Gdansk and Budapest. Wizz Air will continue to extend this service to other airports within its network and will make it available for purchase on-line.
Wizz Air's practice of giving priority boarding to passengers with small children and to disabled passengers remains unchanged.
The other enhancement is the option of purchasing travel insurance within the booking. Travel insurance packages, specially designed by AIG for Wizz Air are now available by selecting the option during the booking process itself and paying online together with their flight (available in selected markets).
Both priority boarding and the insurance package services are available already.
At the same time Wizz Air is introducing new measures that helps increase the efficiency of the check-in process. In addition, by introducing a fee for the second checked-in baggage, the passenger will continue to pay only for services that he or she needs. The customer would not pay for the first piece of checked-in baggage, but further bags to be checked in will be charged 5 EUR per piece if paid online concurrently with the booking and 10 EUR if paid after the initial booking (via the call centre or at the airport). Additional bags can be added later charged at 10 EUR each.
This new measure is introduced today, 15 January and will apply to all passengers who book after this date, for travel on or after 25 March. All passengers who booked before 15 January will be exempt from these charges.
The new policy does not change the current excess baggage charge of 7 EUR for each kg over the 20 kg allowance.
Wizz Air is committed to further service enhancements enabling passengers to personalize their booking choosing the services they need and paying only for those.
