Buckets and spades at the ready, for those who fancy checking out the three best beaches in the UK – as nominated by Trip Advisor’s travellers in a recent poll – here’s a choice of holiday options in this trio of top resorts.

Top of the poll was Bournemouth, home to seven miles of glorious beaches nestling under a breathtaking cliff line and with some of the warmest sea temperatures in the UK.

Just a two-minute walk from the West Cliff, Daish’s Holidays is highlighting its Sands Hotel, a property offering a year-round programme of holidays for all ages and complimentary live, nightly entertainment.   It’s an affordable option too…twin share prices at Easter start at just £154 per person for a four-night half-board break and free child places are available.

Runner up was St Brelades in Jersey, one of the island’s most popular resorts featuring a lovely, sandy beach with a tiny jetty and seaside parish church at the western end. The clear blue water is great for swimming and water-based activities.

In the island’s capital of St Helier – five miles from St Brelades - Modern Hotels is featuring three-night breaks throughout April – including Easter - at just £169 per person (twin share), with children, aged between two and 11 years and sharing with two adults, paying only £98 each.   Prices include return Fastcat crossing from Weymouth, transfers and accommodation with breakfast at the three-star Mayfair Hotel.

Coming in at third place was Woolacombe in North Devon, home to three-miles of Blue Flag beach - stretching from Morte Point to Baggy Point - backed by sand dunes and perfect for sandcastle building and surfing.

Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks is highlighting a huge choice of self-catering accommodation – ranging from caravan holiday homes to luxury lodges – along with a wealth of on-site facilities, many complimentary, such as indoor and outdoor pools, cinema, mini-golf, tennis, children’s clubs and nightly entertainment.  Online prices at Easter start from as little as £189 for a family of four taking a four-night holiday from 2 April.
