Don't sleep through Sarasota's annual Siesta Fiesta
14th - 15th April 2012 - Marks the 34th annual Siesta Fiesta, held in the beautiful Siesta Village on Siesta Key in the heart of Sarasota, coined as Florida's 'Cultural Coast' and awarded number one beach in America 2011 by expert Dr. Beach. Visitors will love seeing the stunning scenery and exploring this open air street party with arts, crafts, food stalls and an array of entertainment.
In the perfect spring weather visitors can stroll or bike along Ocean Boulevard right next to the white sand beach and observe the art from 250 of the nation's most talented artists and crafters. The festival showcases a collection of lifestyle sculptures, spectacular paintings, bespoke jewellery and ceramics.
Siesta Fiesta has free admission and is from 10:00am - 5:00pm on both days giving visitors plenty of time to explore the many art stalls. There is also live music and a delicious selection of food creating a lively atmosphere. All the family will enjoy sampling a selection of traditional American cuisine such as hotdogs and burgers as well as freshly caught seafood whilst strolling through the festival.
