Developer deal helps three generations

Three generations are living together comfortably in their new home thanks to a part exchange scheme from leading housebuilder Persimmon.
Jacki Icke and husband, Peter, along with their two daughters and Jacki’s 95-year-old grandmother, have taken up residence on Ullswater Close in Corby to meet the demands of their large family.
Their new four-bedroom home, on Persimmon’s Oakley Vale development, accommodates everyone, including gran, Jessie Allan, as the room which could have been a study has been made into a private living room for her.
Previously, the Icke household had been living in a three bedroom home in the area and had customized the property to meet their needs by adding a conservatory and converting the garage into private space for gran, to give everyone more space.
Jacki, a credit controller at RS Components in Corby said: “As a family we were looking at a bigger home to accommodate all of us in comfort.
“Our new home has made our quality of living much better, simple things like having en-suite bath-rooms for everyone especially for my daughters, Erica and Jessica, just makes life smoother and easier.”
Commenting on Persimmon Homes Midlands’ service throughout the moving and part exchange process, Jacki added: “Persimmon provided a stress free service that allowed us to move into a bigger home by selling our old house and helping us to move into our ideal home without any hassle.”
By purchasing the home before it was completed the family were able to choose their kitchen and carpets and add those special finishing touches to make it perfect for them.
Claire Lambert, head of sales, at Persimmon Homes Midlands said: “We were more than happy to help Jacki and her family. Many families are growing each day and are often in the same situation.
“Persimmon Homes caters for this and we’re able to help people out of their old homes and move up the property ladder.”
The Persimmon part exchange scheme uses the company’s expertise and contacts to help sell a purchaser’s existing house, saving time and fees. Where buyers qualify the the Part Exchange Plus scheme, the company actually buys the old house from them, making moving even easier.
Oakley Vale offers a range of four and five bedroom detached homes ranging from £184,950 to £229,950.
