Honda spreads happiness with powerboat

1st December 2005 Print
Honda Happiness 4-Stroke powerboat The Car After-Sales department of Honda (UK) is sponsoring a racing powerboat to compete in the 2006 Formula 4-Stroke Series – with Honda staff at the controls!

The ‘Honda Happiness’ powerboat aims to spread the word about Honda’s new fixed price repairs programme for Hondas over three years old. The Honda Happiness scheme is the first of its kind in the market, and offers services like a basic vehicle check for just £65, or new front brake pads for only £85. The programme shows customers they can get repairs from a Honda dealer, using Honda Genuine Parts, at competitive prices.

The Four Stroke powerboat – powered by a 150hp engine – will be piloted by four Honda Associates next year. These drivers will be selected from 15 members of staff, who are competing in a series of time trials on the Solent during December.

Honda Happiness is available for European-spec Honda vehicles that are over 36 months old and out of manufacturer’s warranty. NSX and S2000 are excluded. Available at participating dealers. For more information, honda.co.uk/happiness.

The Honda Formula 4-Stroke powerboat series is the largest offshore powerboat series in the world. Launched in 1999, it now boasts 36 teams across two one-design classes – the 150hp class and the 225hp class.
