New homes now on sale in Weedon with 95% mortgage

A deposit of just 5% of the purchase price could be all you need to buy your dream home in Weedon Bec, where new Redrow homes are now available.
The Government-backed NewBuy scheme is available at the just launched Harmans Chase development, where buyers will have the option of a 95% mortgage.
NewBuy is an initiative available to customers spending up to £500,000 on a newly built home and gives them access to competitive interest rates without a large deposit.
Harmans Chase features three and four-bedroom homes, with current prices from £269,950 for a Stratford style property with four bedrooms.
Tonia Tyler, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South Midlands), says: “Our New Heritage Collection homes boast a high specification as standard, making them much sought-after. Dozens of people have already visited Harmans Chase, eager to find out more about the properties. Potential purchasers have been delighted to discover that NewBuy is available and that they may only need a 5% deposit to secure a brand new home. ”
She adds: “In our experience, mortgage availability – or the lack of it – and pressure to find a high deposit has been the biggest hindrance to people who want to buy a home. The scale of the NewBuy initiative, the fact it has the Government’s weight behind it and major lenders are on board, should resolve this issue.
“We’re already working with a number of people who are keen to make a move to a brand new Redrow home and, with the help of our mortgage specialists, are helping them understand how the scheme works..”
Lenders participating in the scheme will provide a 90-95% mortgage for buyers who meet their qualifying criteria; the lenders will be protected by a mortgage indemnity guarantee (MIG) jointly funded by Redrow and the Government.
It means customers may only need a £13,498 deposit to secure a home at Harmans Chase.
Currently being sold off-plan, the homes have been influenced by the architecture of the Arts & Crafts era, while inside they boast bright, modern interiors with convivial open plan spaces and high quality fixtures and fittings.
Kitchens are both practical and stylish and are well-equipped with integrated top brand name appliances including oven, microwave and fridge freezer, plus tall cabinets and extra wide drawers that offer plenty of storage.
“We understand that being able to view a property is an important part of the home buying process. With that in mind, from April 14 we’re opening a four-bedroom Stratford style show home at Harmans Chase so people can picture themselves living in a brand new Redrow home,” Tonia added.
“In the meantime we’re encouraging customers to take a virtual tour of show homes across the country via our broadband television channel Redrow.TV.”
With schools for all ages, the Northamptonshire village of Weedon is the ideal place in which to raise a family. Situated at the crossroads of the A5 and A45, the village is approximately halfway between Daventry and Northampton, so well placed for commuting to both places as well as further afield via the M1 and M6 motorways.
