Open events help house buyers in Nottinghamshire

As the property market appears to have taken a first few tentative steps on the road to recovery, one leading house builder pledges its commitment to helping buyers secure a foot on the property ladder.

Miller Homes, which supports the Government initiative FirstBuy at its The Meadows development at Ollerton, is hosting two FirstBuy open events to allow prospective buyers to fully understand if they qualify and in what way the scheme could help them buy a brand new home for life.

“Our FirstBuy events will take place on Thursday 5th (4pm – 8pm) and Saturday 7th April (11am – 3pm) and will allow buyers to view the available homes and discover what FirstBuy can offer them,” said Sarah Whinfrey sales manager Miller Homes Yorkshire. “FirstBuy helps buyers onto the property ladder, not just those purchasing for the first time.”

The scheme works whereby Miller Homes and the Government give you up to a twenty per cent equity loan, add this to your five per cent deposit meaning you could only need a mortgage for the remaining seventy five percent of the purchase price.

Properties available under FirstBuy include the spacious three bedroom ‘Wolsey’ townhouse priced at £124,995.

“FirstBuy has already allowed us to help lots of buyers who may have been unable to purchase under normal circumstances,” said Sarah. “During our open events we will have experienced sales advisers on hand to ensure all our visitors can understand the benefits of FirstBuy and be able to view the homes that are available under the initiative.”

The Meadows is ideally located in the village of Ollerton which has a good selection of schools and local amenities and facilities. Properties currently available range from a one bedroom apartment priced from £59,995 to a four bedroom detached home priced from £170,000.
