Camping in Yosemite National Park

11th April 2012 Print

On offer for the first time from US operator, Bon Voyage, guided camping in the breathtaking scenery of the Yosemite National Park, taking in off the beaten track trails and sights not usually seen in America’s favourite national park.

Highlights of these fun-filled three-day breaks, which are under the guidance of friendly, knowledgeable guides, include cycling, swimming and hiking, taking in waterfalls, lakes, giant Sequoia trees and cliffs rising 4,000 feet from the valley floor.

All food and necessary camping gear is provided, along with transport in an eco-friendly vehicle, and all featured campsites have hot showers and modern facilities.  The atmosphere is laid back and friendly and everyone is expected to ‘muck in’ and assist with the setting up of camp and cooking.

The above itinerary can be incorporated into a choice of fly-drive holidays including, for families, a 13-night ‘California Family Fun Adventure’ which also takes in San Francisco, the beaches at Pismo and Ventura and Anaheim for Disneyland and the theme parks.

Peak season prices for this holiday cost from £1795 per adult and £1249 per child (based on two adults and two youngsters aged under 12 years travelling together) inclusive of return flights from Heathrow, Manchester or Glasgow, large car hire, 11 nights’ room-only four-star hotels and the two-night camping adventure at Yosemite as above.
