Titanic Belfast Visitor Centre sends travellers packing

Skyscanner, a travel search site, has witnessed a significant rise in flight searches to Belfast following the opening of the city’s new Titanic visitor centre which coincides with the anniversary of the ships doomed maiden voyage which saw the ship sink on 14 April 1912.

Skyscanner has seen a 24% year on year rise in flight searches from across the globe to Belfast, with flight searches from UK airports to Belfast up 28% on the same period.

The much anticipated £97 million visitor centre in Belfast opened its doors to the public last month.

Sam Baldwin, Skyscanner’s Travel Expert comments; “With its rich history, Belfast has always been a popular tourist destination and it’s great news that many more people will flock to Belfast to see this fabulous new visitor centre.”
