Taylor Wimpey confirms commitment to Plymouth

In addition to building high quality homes in sought after locations, leading home builder Taylor Wimpey Exeter prides itself on playing a key role in supporting the local communities where it builds.

Across three of the company’s Plymouth and Tavistock developments Taylor Wimpey has now contributed over £1 million towards improvements to amenities in the local areas.

Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, states: “At Taylor Wimpey we have a strong sense of commitment to the areas where we build. This is why we are so keen to offer financial contributions to help enhance and improve certain facilities which will benefit our residents and the wider community.”

At the leading home builder’s Penlee development off Plymbridge Road in Plymouth Taylor Wimpey has contributed £115,000 which has gone towards the creation of green open spaces and play area facilities in the area, additional school places for local children plus a commitment to strategic transport initiatives along Plymouth’s northern transport corridor.

At The Limes and Warleigh Village development located off Clittaford Road in Southway the company has contributed a total of £970,500 towards a nature conservation area, improvements to the local bus service in Southway, improvements to local primary schools and a number of cycle parking hoops at Southway shopping centre.

Meanwhile, at Taylor Wimpey’s Manor Oaks development off Old Launceston Road in Tavistock, the company has contributed towards funding a local bus service, improvements to local pedestrian facilities and financial assistance towards education facilities at Tavistock College.
