City centre living for families at St Cedd’s Place in Chelmsford

The recent announcement that Chelmsford in Essex is to be re-designated as a city gives an extra focus to new family homes being built near its bustling centre and train station. Countryside Properties’ new homes at St Cedd’s Place were already unusual in these days where there is a shortage of good quality family homes, particularly in prime locations. The new city focus has added more impact locally, before the houses will be ready for occupation.

Being built on the site of the former St Cedd’s school in a quiet location in Maltese Road, this new development is a few minutes walk away from Chelmsford’s main line railway station and, as befits a city centre location, there is a wide range of restaurants, shops, leisure facilities and public green spaces nearby. There is an added bonus though as the development is within a mile of two of the best schools not only in Chelmsford, but in Essex.

St Cedd’s Place comprises just 12 traditionally-built family homes available for sale offering a choice of three, four or five bedrooms and featuring a superb interior specification with quartz stone work surfaces, high quality integrated appliances and ceramic tiled floors to kitchens. The interior layouts offer the space that is so important to families, with large open plan family areas, garden rooms and some also have separate dining rooms. Individual studies provide private space for quiet time too, whilst the larger homes have a third storey with ‘bonus’ rooms in the roof which are great for teenagers, hobbyists or use as a cinema room. There’s plenty of car parking too, with all properties benefiting from a private driveway and garage.

Essex’s county town provides good access to the national road network with the A12, M11 and M25 within easy reach, while London Liverpool Street is just 35 minutes away from nearby Chelmsford station.

Prices for homes at St Cedd’s Place range between £500,000 and £690,000. For more information, visit stceddsplace.co.uk.
