Reading Honda open for business
Clover Leaf Reading Honda has opened its doors to serve motorists from the Berkshire town and surrounding area. It joins Clover Leaf’s two existing Honda dealerships in nearby Ascot and Newbury.Clover Leaf is part of the well-establishing Jardine Motors group, which has scores of premium, luxury and prestige dealerships operating under various trading names all over the UK.
The Reading business was acquired from the Marshall dealer group in early 2006 and initially operated from an existing site on Bath Road.
But after a multi-million pound investment, Clover Leaf has relocated to a brand new facility on the Rose Kiln Lane Trading Estate. It’s just off the A33, the main road into Reading from the nearby M4 motorway.
The former industrial unit has been redeveloped and transformed into a state-of-the-art dealership. It includes a 10-car showroom for customers to appreciate Honda’s outstanding and versatile range of new vehicles, plus space for up to 50 used cars. There are also eight workshop bays including a dedicated MoT facility.
The opening of Clover Leaf Reading Honda has created several new jobs, with the likelihood of others as the business develops.
Gary Peters, franchise general manager for Clover Leaf Reading Honda, said: “We are delighted to be in the Rose Kiln Lane showroom and very excited at the opportunities it represents. Despite the current global financial situation, early indications are that this will be a hugely successful venture.”
Commenting on the opening, Bernard Bradley, General Manager, Cars at Honda (UK), said: “It’s really important for Honda to have another strong outlet in the Berkshire area. The facilities at Clover Leaf are fantastic and will prove popular with existing Honda owners in the area, as well as those looking to buy a new car.”
