According to a recent survey from the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, potential buyers are still struggling to raise a mortgage. With this in mind, Jelson Homes is working with Choice Mortgages at its development in Stamford, to offer potential purchasers a new home with just a five-per-cent deposit.

Helping first-time buyers to get on the property ladder, Jelson Homes will then add a further five-per-cent to the deposit, and the mortgage is fixed at a rate of 5.99 per cent for two years. So, if you’re looking to purchase a new property, Jelson Homes could get you moving.

Priced from £169,950, Casterton Heights currently offers a variety of three- and three/four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes; the Plover house type is a prime example of one of these traditional properties.

It’s the perfect size for first-time buyers; it features a traditional layout, with an open-plan kitchen and living room on the ground floor, as well as a handy cloakroom. The first floor is home to the family bathroom, along with three bedrooms and, as an added luxury, the master bedroom even comes with an en suite shower room.

Jackie Woodward, sales manager at Jelson Homes, comments: “It’s not every day that you come across a three-bedroom property which features an en suite and at such a competitive price. We pride ourselves on building desirable homes, and the Plover is no exception, especially when you factor in the location and the current mortgage offer.”

As with all Jelson homes, you get a lot more for your money than just bricks and mortar: you can rest assured that each property is built to traditional standards, with features such as solid internal walls, fitted kitchens from Jelson’s own workshop and Jelson-made PVCu windows, setting them apart from the competition.

The location of Casterton Heights is also second to none. It’s close to Stamford’s historic town centre, with its high-street shops, independent boutiques and welcoming pubs and restaurants. There’s a good range of schools in the area, and travel links are excellent, with the A1 nearby and direct rail services to Peterborough.
