Children of all ages can enjoy a special Jubilee half term at the Heritage Motor Centre from the 2 – 10 June. Half term will be packed full of all things red, white and blue with Jubilee craft days on Tuesday 5 and Thursday 7 June from 11am – 3pm when families can make crowns and bunting. The event is free and children can take home what they make. Children are also encouraged to come dressed as Queens, Kings, princes and princesses and sit on the specially commissioned throne! Visitors can also test their royal knowledge with a patriotic Jubilee Quiz.

To celebrate 60 years of the Queen's reign, the HMC will also be hosting a special Royal Cars exhibition showcasing a number of special Royal vehicles. In addition a beacon will be lit to mark the Queen's reign on Monday 4 June.

Penny Tyler, Marketing Officer at the Heritage Motor Centre stated “We are very excited to be celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with a week of special Jubilee themed activities and our very special Royal Cars Exhibition. Along with our Miniature Roadway, Land Rover Experience and Stop Start Driving Sessions, families are guaranteed plenty to do when they visit us this half term - and don’t forget we are a great day out whatever the weather!”.

The Miniature Roadway electric ride on cars will be open daily from 11am - 4pm. Suitable for 3 - 7 year olds, they are outside and therefore weather dependant. Enjoy a 20 minute taster session on the Land Rover Experience and enjoy the thrills and spills of off-road driving. These run daily with qualified instructors driving visitors around a challenging off-road course over rocky inclines, steep descents and some pretty impressive water sections. Stop Start under 17 Driving Sessions are great for bored teenagers and give them learner driving experiences for those aged 15+ in dual controlled vehicles. These must be pre booked by telephoning 01926 645128.

There is no extra charge to see the Royal Cars exhibition as it is included in the standard Museum entry fees. Museum prices are: Adults £11, Child £8 (5-16 years) under 5 free, Concessions £9 & Family £34 (2 adults & up to 3 children).
