Couple enjoy five-star treatment from Elan Homes

Show homes are designed to inspire home buyers, but Paul and Margaret Beevers were so enamoured with the show home at Barley Fields in Tividale that they were prepared to wait for it to be released on to the market.
The couple, who lived in Frinton on Sea in Essex, were looking for a home for their son when they first visited the Elan Homes development.
Paul explained: “We’d been thinking about moving to the West Midlands to be closer to our son and after viewing the show home at Barley Fields decided this was where we wanted to live. It’s on high ground and we were taken with the magical views of Wolverhampton from the front of the show home – we could see for about 10 miles.”
A retired company managing director and surveyor, Paul has years of personal and professional experience of the housing industry.
“We have purchased many properties in our married life and we took an instant like to the design of the show home, the quality of it scored very highly,” he said.
“We particularly liked the position of the show home and while there were other houses in the same style we decided that if we were going to move here we would wait for the show home to be released for sale.”
They kept in touch with the sales consultant and when the show home became available Paul and Margaret put their home on the market, securing a buyer in a matter of weeks.
“The family buying our house in Essex wanted to complete and move in the week before Christmas, Elan pulled out all the stops to achieve that deadline. This is the second brand new home we have bought and I would definitely recommend Elan Homes. They ticked all the right boxes – we’ve had five star treatment from all of the staff.”
Just three homes, each with four bedrooms, are still available at Barley Fields, with prices from £219,995.
They all boast contemporary interiors with high specification kitchens and bathrooms. Modern appliances have been selected for quality and visual appeal with superb fixtures and fittings in every room of every home
“We are both retired and didn’t want the constant demand for maintenance, repairs and improvement that an older property’s likely to need,” Paul added.
“One of the advantages of buying new is that it’s never been lived in, plus you have new neighbours who are in a similar position to you and you can enjoy getting to know one another.”
Conveniently close to Birmingham and Wolverhampton, residents of Barley Fields can enjoy the advantages of city living also the calm of living away from the hustle and bustle. Strong road and rail links, including easy access to the M5 mean the homes are a commuter haven. With a good choice of schools and plenty of local amenities including a nearby library, it’s a popular choice for families.
