Thailand serves up a tempting summer and autumn

Upcoming events from fast-paced tennis to enchanting jazz are set to thrill and entertain visitors and locals alike over the next few months. Help the locals celebrate the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, a public holiday and a day of much merriment in Thailand.  Bangkok will be hosting a number of free celebrations across the city including an afternoon festival at Sanam Luang, in front of the Grand Palace. Thai artists will perform traditional and British inspired routines whilst a variety of other entertainment and displays will be available for guests to enjoy.  

PTT Thailand Open, Bangkok, 24th September to 2nd October

Mix sport with pleasure and coordinate holiday plans around the PTT Thailand Open. From 24th September to 2nd October Bangkok will host this event as part of the ATP World Tour. With past winners including Roger Federer and Andy Murray and played on indoor hard courts, this will be a fast paced competition set to thrill spectators.  

15th Amari Watergate and BMW Thailand Charity Midnight Run, 20th October

Over 5,000 runners are expected to knot-up their laces for the Amari Watergate and BMW Thailand Charity Midnight Run to take place in Bangkok on 20th October. In its 15th year, the event will aim to raise needed funds for a number of charities including Chalerm Prakiat School, which supports children affected by HIV. For more information, visit amari.com.
