HMC to host the biggest UK Rally for old Fords

Thousands of Ford enthusiasts will be gathering at the Heritage Motor Centre on Sunday 22 July when it hosts the Old Ford Rally. The show, which is in its fourth year, is now the biggest Rally of old Fords in the UK. All types of cars, commercial, agricultural and military vehicles built up to 1985 will show-case the huge range of vehicles produced by one of the world’s biggest manufacturers. In addition the Transit Van Rally takes place on the 21 & 22 July where visitors can see a large number of old and new Transits and meet up with fellow Transit Club members.

Visitors to the Old Ford Rally will be able to see everything from Model T’s through the cars of the pre-war austerity years, agricultural vehicles, Thames and Ford commercial’s & military vehicles and onto the more luxurious post-war Zephyr’s, Zodiac’s and Granada’s and the Mk1 and 2 sporting Lotus Cortina’s. This year also see the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Cortina, the Mk3 Zephyr and the Zodiac range all of which will be on display.
There is plenty of family fun on offer, with chances to win a Giant Retro Space Hopper in the Space Hopper Hoopla Game. Enthusiasts will be able to purchase spare parts from the trade stalls whilst inside visitors can enjoy the Museum, as well as an Indoor Bazaar, Curio & Craft Show featuring independent traders, handmade crafts and items with a retro feel. This part of the show can be found on the first floor of the Centre and entry is included in the event ticket price.

Emma Rawlinson, Event Executive for the Heritage Motor Centre stated “The Old Ford Rally coupled with the Transit Van Rally is a fantastic day out and not just for Ford or Transit Van enthusiasts!”

Advance tickets for the Rally cost £8 or £11 on the day for adults, £5 in advance or £8 on the day for children and £30 for an advance family ticket or £34 on the day. Tickets can be purchased by visiting heritage-motor-centre.co.uk.
