The Co-operative offers discount on home insurance

21st June 2012 Print

The Co-operative Insurance is offering 25 per cent off buildings and contents insurance when they are bought together.

Customers who take advantage of the deal could save an average of £67 a year.*

Lee Mooney, Head of Home Insurance at The Co-operative Insurance, said: "Money is tight for many people at the moment and paying to insure your home can fall to the bottom of the priority list.

"However, not insuring can be a terrible false economy and it's vital that people insure their possessions in case the worst happens. To ease the burden, we're offering a discount to people who take out combined buildings and contents insurance to give customers the protection they need and a few extra pounds in their wallet."

The Co-operative's home insurance can be taken out at all Co-operative Bank and Britannia branches and online.

*Based on a sample of 1,700 full price Co-operative Insurance home insurance policies, the average saving on contents and buildings insurance is £67.41 per year until the offer ends (TBC).
