With astro-turf for carpet and a 360 degrees panoramic of a football stadium, the fourth bedroom in Redrow’s newest show home at Branwell Park, Guiseley, is right on trend.

Tapping into the mounting football fever of Euro 2012 - with group stages almost complete in Poland and Ukraine, England safely through to the quarter-finals, and the final to be played on July 1st – the bedroom is every young soccer fan’s dream.

Patsy Aicken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire), said: “The summer of sport has well and truly kicked off with Euro 2012 ahead of the London Olympics and we thought it would be fun to have a football themed bedroom in one of our two new show homes at Branwell Park.

“Redrow’s chairman is also the chair of Wolves FC so we took the opportunity to photograph the stadium from the pitch and had special bespoke wallpaper created. When you stand in the centre of the bedroom it’s literally like being on the centre spot; the astro-turf adds to the effect and we’ve included various football themed accessories and Wolves memorabilia.”

The ‘football crazy’ bedroom is part of a four-bedroom family home, The Oxford, the rest of which has been designed and dressed by show home designers Intu with a typical family in mind. The overall colour scheme is rich cream, gold and hints of cranberry and the furniture and wall coverings are traditional in nature.

Keeping with the sporting feel the third bedroom has been designed around a horse mad youngster with a hand-painted mural of a horse looking out through a barn door.

The neighbouring Letchworth show home, a three-bedroom property, is much more modern in its design, with a colour scheme of sharp purple and white, plus clean, straight lines.

“We’ve themed this more for a first time buyer or perhaps a second time purchaser who’s trading up to a slightly larger home. The aim is to demonstrate the appeal of our new homes to a wide audience,” Patsy added.

Both show homes promote a range of traditional looking, stone-built, three and four-bedroom family homes from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, where current prices are from £337,999 for a four-bedroom detached property. The Government backed NewBuy initiative is available, giving purchasers the opportunity to take out a 95% loan to value mortgage.

Hugely popular already, with 12 properties sold even before the show homes opened, the properties boast bright, modern interiors and a host of family friendly features, including convivial, open plan layouts that place the kitchen / dining area at the heart of the home.

Branwell Park is within walking distance of Guiseley train station. Residents of the development will be able to travel free on buses and trains in West Yorkshire for a year, as one free MetroCard per household was part of a package of community benefits negotiated with Leeds City Council. The travel card will be provided free for the first year and discounted in years two and three.
