One of the Lake District’s most stunning country house hotels, Lindeth Howe, has announced a new ‘Seven for Month Seven’ offer, creating a fabulously-priced £77.00pppn offer each of the nights of July 9, 11, 15, 16, 18, 22 and 25.

This rate provides a stay in one of the Bowness-based hotel’s superior rooms, with a hearty breakfast and a five-course dinner served in its 2AA Rosette dining room.

The 34-bedroomed hotel offers fabulous views over Lake Windermere and has six-acres of gardens, which guests can stroll at their leisure. They can also relax in the cosy lounge, enjoy a dip in the hotel’s swimming pool and unwind in the sauna.

Therapy treatments are available in the hotel’s holistic area and electric bikes are available for hire for those wishing to explore, but not do too much hard work with the legs. Walking and outdoor activity days with an expert guide can also be arranged.

The hotel has a special place in Lake District history, having been owned by the author Beatrix Potter, who wrote her ‘Tale of Timmy Tiptoes’ and the ‘Tale of Pigling Bland’ from this property, in which her mother lived from 1915. Memorabilia is on show at the hotel, which guests can browse as they wish.

The welcoming hotel is renowned for its excellent food, prepared by French head chef Marc Guibert and his talented team. It is also associated with Lake District tour operator, Mountain Goat, and well placed to suggest tours that could be taken by those guests not wishing to spend a large chunk of their holiday budget on petrol, but wanting to reach and see places that might otherwise be inaccessible to them within the Lake District’s mountainous landscape.
