Miller Homes to launch prestigious waterfront development

The latest piece in the jigsaw that will see the renaissance of Dundee's waterfront area is set to be put in place with the launch of Miller Homes @ City Quay.

The development of new V&A at Dundee and the recent announcement that Malmaison had signed a lease on the Tay Hotel both provide evidence that the city's waterfront is undergoing a major revival.

Now, housebuilder Miller Homes is poised to officially unveil a prestigious waterfront development this Thursday (5 July) downstream from the Tay Road Bridge.

Miller Homes @ City Quay will comprise 58 stylish two and three bedroom apartments, with prices starting from £125,000.

Anne Marie Britton, Sales Director of Miller Homes Scotland East, said:

“The City Quay development will play an important part in the on-going project to breathe new life into Dundee's waterfront.

“It is a truly unique development that takes full advantage of its stunning waterfront environment – the perfect location for today's lifestyle.

“Each bright and airy apartment will be finished in a fresh and contemporary look, with many of the upper levels benefiting from balconies and spectacular views.

“This stunning development is only a short journey from the vibrant urban centre of Dundee and provides contemporary living spaces within a thriving city.”

The development is made up of two buildings, one overlooking the dock that is home to the frigate HMS Unicorn, which was launched in 1824 and which is one of the six oldest ships left in the world, and the other with stunning views overlooking the Firth of Tay and beyond to Fife.

Just across the dock from the popular City Quay Designer Outlet, with a range of shops as well as a restaurant and café, the development is within convenient reach of the road and rail network and only a short distance from the centre of Dundee, with its shops, eateries and leisure and cultural venues.

The interior of the two bedroom show apartment has been designed by Margarete Stewart, of MS Décor, who has taken inspiration from the amazing views the development affords.

Anne Marie Britton said: “Margarete certainly hasn't laboured the maritime theme, but there's a hint of the nautical in her work at Miller Homes @ City Quay. Some of the prints she uses even feature photographs of sails she took while on a Mediterranean cruise on a tall-masted ship.

“With a large French window leading to the balcony, the show apartment commands truly magnificent views, and the interior is equally stunning.

“Miller Homes @ City Quay makes the most of its setting, and we know people looking for a stylish retreat away from the bustle of everyday life will want to make themselves at home there.”
