Escape the Olympics on one of the UK's most remote islands

For families looking to escape the Olympics, Hell Bay in the Scillies is the perfect place to hole up away from the mayhem. A popular family destination since the 1950's the tiny island of Bryher, with just 85 inhabitants offers the ultimate in peace and quiet; no tubes, no crowds and no traffic!

The handsome Hell Bay hotel with just 25 rooms sits right on the edge of the Atlantic, only reached by boat, it's idyllically remote and private. White sanded beaches are only 75 yards from guests' bedrooms, while seabirds, puffins and seals are the nearest neighbours. The Studio Suites all have their own private patio or balcony with uninterrupted views towards the Bishop Rock lighthouse and out over the sea.

Outside of the hotel there is the whole island to explore - the coastal paths offer wonderful walking and peaceful beaches provide 'get away from it all' solitude - no danger of any starter pistols here! The crystal clear waters are wonderful for swimming and offer hours of snorkelling whilst the hotel also boasts a heated outdoor swimming pool. For guests looking to engage in sporting activities there are plenty of options (which the hotel can arrange) to keep the whole family entertained from water sports and diving, to island hopping, a newly built Astro-turf tennis court and a small golf course.

Dinner is served in the hotel's 3 AA-Rosette restaurant which offers an imaginative menu using local fish, crab and lobster caught by Bryher fishermen. For guests who like to 'get their hands dirty' the hotel encourage little ones to gather up fresh eggs for breakfast or for the slightly more adventurous head out onto the boats to pull up Lobster pots and discover their own dinner!

The Family Escape Package is valid from 27th July 2012 - 12th August 2012. Costing from £2000 for a family of four for 4 nights on a Half Board basis, including return flights from either Penzance (helicopter) or Lands End, transfers and travel insurance.
