Public exhibition on Collaton St Mary

30th July 2012 Print

Local residents are being invited to find out about the progress of Taylor Wimpey’s proposed plans for the Totnes Road site in Collaton St Mary.

On Wednesday 8th and Friday 10th August, a public exhibition providing information on the development of the site will be held at Collaton St Mary Parish Hall, situated on Blagdon Road.

The exhibition follows a number of initial meetings and discussions held with local stakeholders and the local council.

Initial recommendations suggested the development should offer improved road safety measures together with contributions towards local education facilities. The results of the work and discussions undertaken to date will be on display at the public exhibition for local residents to view.

David Matthews, land and planning director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “Masterplanning establishes the key principles that will guide and inform how a site can be developed. The feedback received from these initial discussions has given us a very useful insight into both the Local Authority’s and local people’s concerns and aspirations.

“The public exhibition, organised for the 8th and 10th August, is a fresh opportunity for local residents and those with an interest in the site to come and view and input into the proposals so far. We welcome comments and will actively seek to demonstrate how we are investing in public amenities and facilities across Collaton St Mary.”

David Matthews and his team from Taylor Wimpey and their specialist consultants will be on hand throughout the exhibition which runs from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday 8th August and 1pm to 6pm on Friday 10th August. They will be available to answer questions and provide additional information on the scheme. If you require further information about the exhibition please email CollatonStMary[at]taylorwimpey.com.
