FirstBuy funds running out for buyers in Cullompton

10th August 2012 Print

First time buyers in Cullompton are being given one final opportunity to take advantage of the Government backed FirstBuy scheme, as funds are now running out.

The scheme was specifically designed to help first time buyers take their first step onto the property ladder and Barratt sales director Caroline Hill said it has proved hugely popular with buyers at the Kingfisher Reach development in Cullompton.

However all good things come to an end and buyers in the region now have limited time to take advantage of the FirstBuy benefits.

The scheme is designed to help buyers get onto the property ladder with loans of up to 20 per cent of the price of the property, jointly funded by Barratt and the Government’s Homes and Communities Agency.

Buyers then have to find the remaining 80 per cent of the price themselves made up of the mortgage and deposit.

“There is still time, for those looking to get onto the property ladder, to take full advantage of FirstBuy but those interested must act quickly,’’ said Caroline.

At Kingfisher Reach, FirstBuy is available on a range of homes, including the one bedroom Cullompton apartment priced at £159,950 which is available with a deposit as low as £6,398 with FirstBuy.

The stylish apartment makes the perfect home for any first time buyer. The Cullompton features a bright and airy living room and a contemporary kitchen. The bedroom is well proportioned and there is also a stylish bathroom.
Conveniently located, the development is just a few minutes’ walk of the town centre and its many local amenities. Cullompton is often described as the gateway to Devon and is delightfully close to beautiful open farmland and the River Culm.

Ideally situated for the M5 and A38, this outstanding new development provides all excellent commuter links to nearby Exeter, Taunton, Bristol and the south west.

Caroline continued, “I would urge anyone interested to get in touch with our sales team at Kingfisher Reach before it is too late.”
