American Express loyalty points more rewarding with NSPCC

16th August 2012 Print

American Express has partnered with the NSPCC to offer a new way for card members to make donations to the charity.

Membership Rewards points can now be donated to help fund ChildLine - a free, confidential 24-hour helpline and online service provided by the NSPCC for children and young people in distress or danger.

American Express card members earn Membership Rewards points in return for spending on their Cards. These points can be redeemed against a wide range of travel, entertainment, shopping and leisure related rewards.

Every 1,000 Membership Rewards points donated to the NSPCC will help ChildLine answer a child's call when they find the courage to ask for help. A donation of 3,000 points will help ChildLine to provide fifteen minutes support to a vulnerable child in the middle of the night, when many children call in need of comfort and advice.

ChildLine has counselled over 2.6 million children and young people since it was set up in 1986, and provides help and advice to thousands of children every day about issues such as bullying, bereavement, abuse and family problems.
