It was love at first sight for Dennis and Ann Lomas when they viewed the show homes at Wheatley Chase in Halifax.
The spur of the moment visit finally ended their three-year search for a new home and with part exchange from Redrow they didn’t have to worry about finding a buyer for their existing property.
Dennis explained: “We lived in our old home for 30 years and had considered adding a conservatory to give us more room, but decided moving was a better option. We looked at more than 30 houses and didn’t think we would like a new-build; until we visited Wheatley Chase after viewing an older property nearby. We loved the traditional style of the Warwick show home as soon as we saw it and knew we had to have one. Nothing else compares, it’s ideal.”
Using part exchange helped them save time and money as Redrow essentially acted as an instant cash buyer; so there was no complicated moving chain to worry about and no estate agent’s fees for them to pay.
They’re now the proud owners of a three-bedroom detached Warwick, similar to the show home. It’s well equipped with integrated kitchen appliances and quality fixtures and fittings.
“It was the best decision we ever made. We still can’t believe it’s all ours. The bedrooms are a lot bigger – we didn’t have room to swing a cat in our old home. We also have a downstairs WC and an en-suite, which we didn’t have before. Ann says she feels spoilt here,” Dennis added.
“Joan the sales consultant and Bernardo the site manager were absolutely fabulous and bent over backwards to help us. We’re absolutely delighted with our new home and our daughter says she’ll move back home now that we’ve bought here.”
