Helen hungry for success in World Championships

Helen hungry for success in World Championships Fiat sponsored Irish national canoe team member, Helen Barnes, is this weekend competing against 400 contestants at the World Slalom Canoe Championships in Prague.

Helen, who is the holder of the Guinness Book of Records World Eskimo Rolling Champion title, has been driving her Sunwin (Nottingham) supplied Fiat Panda all over Europe, training intensively for the World Championships, where she is aiming for podium positions.

Currently ranked 22 in Great Britain, Helen discovered a passion for canoeing at 16, on an adventure holiday with her father, Cliff. She now balances her career as a Nottingham-based primary school teacher, with her training, and hopes this week to better her previous record of eighth in the 2003 World Cup.
