September result confirms Fiat sales success
Fiat Auto’s strong resurgence in a ‘flat’ UK market, has just been confirmed by its September sales result, up by a remarkable 66% (11,411 units) compared to the same month last year (6864 units). This result was achieved in a market down 0.7% on the same period last year, and it has confirmed an annual trend which shows Fiat sales up 64% year-to-date, (47,184 units), compared to the same period last year, (28,697 units), despite a market which has declined by 3.5% in the same period. All of which makes Fiat cars the fastest growing automotive brand in the UK this year.
Commenting on Fiat Auto’s UK performance, managing director, Giulio Salomone, says: “Obviously we are delighted that UK customers have returned to our stylish new products in such an emphatic way, but we are far from complacent. The launch of new Fiat models and variants continues at speed, and next year we will see the arrival of two eagerly awaited cars from the ‘new’ Fiat. First we shall be presenting our C-segment contender, the Fiat Bravo, and late in the year we will present the new Fiat 500, a car that re-interprets Italy’s golden and iconic age of popular motoring in a modern fashion.”
