Taylor Wimpey’s First-Time Buyer Day will give would-be homeowners the chance to find out more about the help that’s available to purchase a new property for sale in Telford at The Meadows.

First-time buyers have the chance to discover everything they need to know about purchasing a new home during a special event being hosted at Taylor Wimpey’s stunning The Meadows development of houses for sale in Telford.

The leading housebuilder’s First-Time Buyer Day, taking place at the Taylor Wimpey Telford development on Saturday 8th September, will enable aspiring homebuyers to go through all the fine details involved in stepping on the property ladder with experienced professionals.

From 11am to 3pm, an expert team – including an independent financial advisor – will be available to answer any burning questions Telford property-seekers have about becoming homeowners, including how to secure the best mortgage deal and how to make their finances stretch further.

The event also includes two mortgage seminars taking place at 11am and 1pm at the development of new homes for sale in Telford, which can be attended by booking in advance.

What’s more, property-seekers visiting The Meadows on First-Time Buyer Day can find out they need to know about the FirstBuy initiative, which lets qualifying purchasers secure selected new homes in Telford at The Meadows for just 80% of their full price, including a 75% mortgage and a 5% deposit, subject to status.

Elaine Taylor, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: “FirstBuy in Telford is a fantastic scheme that eliminates the need for a big deposit, providing an easier route into home-ownership for many first-time buyers.

“The Meadows First-time Buyer Day is giving home-hunters the chance to find out about the stunning properties available at this sought-after development – and how they can use the exceptional Government-backed scheme to secure them!”

FirstBuy works through a 20% joint loan from Taylor Wimpey and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), which is repayable at the end of the 25-year mortgage term or when the property is sold, and the scheme is open to first-time buyers with total household earnings under £60,000.

For example with FirstBuy, selected two-bedroom ‘Primrose’ starter homes, priced from £129,995, are accessible to qualifying first-time buyers for an 80% price of just £103,996, including a 5% deposit of only £6,500!

These attractive homes feature an open-plan kitchen/living/dining room opening through French doors to the private rear garden, two good-sized bedrooms, a main bathroom and a guest cloakroom, plus allocated parking outside.

Alternatively, three-bedroom homes are available at The Meadows from as little as £149,995 and four-bedroom properties from £162,995.

The Meadows forms part of the wider Telford Millennium Village, an innovative development created in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency and the borough of Telford & Wrekin. The settlement is designed to be sustainable, ensuring it will include safe places for children to play, a new school, a community centre and fantastic public transport links.

The Meadows is ideally placed to take advantage of the region’s travel network, with junction 6 of the M54 close by, for quick links to the M6 and M6 Toll to Staffordshire and Birmingham and the A5 for Shrewsbury.

The Telford Shopping Centre boasts more than 150 stores including House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer and Debenhams, along with enticing cafes, bars and restaurants.
