Half-term family holiday in Cornwall

Cornwall specialist operator Looe & Polperro Holidays still has availability to some charming cottages for the forthcoming October half term, for example:

Seaton Beach House, Seaton village (near Looe)

This large, five-bedroomed, three-storey house sleeping 10 people, is perfect for a large family or two families who wish to go away together. Overlooking the sea, it is located at the end of a select development, is under two minutes’ walk from Seaton Beach and opposite a play park. Also nearby is a nature reserve and a cycle trail where you can enjoy a woodland walk or cycle a few miles to a hamlet called Hessenford, which is home to the renowned Copley Arms pub. The nearest pub to Beach House is the Smugglers’ Inn which is famous for its delicious locally caught crab sandwiches! A week’s rental of Beach house from 26 October is from £730.

Malibu, Hannafore (Looe)

This three-bedroomed house sleeping six people commands spectacular views of the sea and St. George’s Island from its elevated position. It is just minutes from the beach and some very good public tennis courts. The start of the Cornwall coastal path is right opposite the house and the village of Looe a 20-minute, pleasant coastal walk away. The house is perfect for exploring the county, with The Eden Project 40 minutes away and Bodmin Moore a 25 minute drive. A week’s rental from 27 October costs from £750.

Kernow, Hessenford (near Looe)

This three-bedroomed, mid-terrace 1800s grade-2-listed-cottage has been completely refurbished with much thought given to making the most of this charming cottage. Each room is very spacious and tastefully-furnished and the property has an enclosed garden with decking (perfect for small children). There is a good pub under a minute’s walk away and the renowned Blue Plate restaurant is just a 2-minute drive. A week’s rental from 27 October is just £340 or just £56 pp if six occupy the cottage.

Trevallan, East Looe

Trevallan is perfect for a couple or for those with a young child who would be happy to sleep on a pull-out bed. The one-bedroomed detached bungalow is located just yards from Plaidy Beach. The chalet-style bungalow has an open-plan living area with comfortable and modern lounge with leather settees and flat screen TV/DVD and French doors which lead out onto a decked veranda with garden furniture. A week’s stay from 27 October costs from £300 (just £100 pp for a family of three people).
