David Wilson Homes set to take the wraps off Newport development

12th September 2012 Print

David Wilson Homes is set to officially launch its new development in Newport this weekend as the wraps come off Abbey Mews.

Champagne and canapés will be served from 11am on Saturday September 15 to mark the opening of the eagerly anticipated new development.

Interest is already high in this selection of two and three bedroom homes and sales director Sarah Eales said the location close to the town centre is proving particularly popular with those who have already registered interest in the properties.

“We’re delighted to be launching these new homes,’’ said Sarah. “We know from previous developments on the island that the style and quality of the homes and locations we choose are popular with buyers and we look forward to welcoming visitors to Abbey Mews.”

Homes will include two and three bedroom properties with prices from £159,999 and David Wilson Homes will be offering its schemes to help first time buyers get onto the housing market and those looking to move up the housing ladder.

Schemes available for buyers of new homes include NewBuy, the 95% mortgage backed by the government. It means David Wilson Homes customers - both first time buyers and home movers - only need a 5% deposit.

And for those looking to move up the housing ladder, David Wilson Homes will also be offering its part exchange scheme at Abbey Mews. Part exchange removes all the uncertainty associated with a move. The housebuilder is a guaranteed cash buyer – so there is no chain, no last-minute price haggling and no hidden costs – and people can stay in their old property until their new home is ready.

Abbey Mews’ central location offers easy access to the town’s sports and leisure facilities including a wide variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, bars and cinemas.

“We always think carefully about location when planning new developments,” said Sarah. “This development is the perfect place to call home and we’re expecting a great deal of interest in these new homes.”
