Barratt is set to showcase the very latest in new homes design when it unveils the latest phase of development at its popular Hawthorn Meadows development in Whippingham at the end of the month.

Three new showhomes will demonstrate the style and quality which has earned the housebuilder five star status for the last four years and sales director Michelle Storer said she was looking forward to unveiling the new homes to buyers on the Isle of Wight.

“The variety of homes at Hawthorn Meadows have appealed to a wide range of people and we are delighted to be able to launch a new phase of two and three bedroom homes,’’ said Michelle.

“These new designs have been created to provide the styles of modern living that buyers are searching for in a new home.’’

Features of the new designs include traditional looking exteriors to complement the surroundings together with modern and airy interiors and flexible layouts.

Energy conservation is also high on the Barratt agenda with the new homes designed to be as energy efficient as possible and offering huge savings over older homes.

“We believe this development ticks all the boxes in offering buyers exactly what they are looking for in a rural setting but close to island amenities and transport links.’’

Michelle said the new homes all benefit from the 10 year NHBC warranty and as added peace of mind all Barratt homes have a five year warranty on fixtures and fittings.

“Because we have confidence in the outstanding quality of our build, we are confident that we can offer this additional reassurance to our customers,” said Michelle.

“Our five-year warranty covers just about everything in the home and comes with 24 hours emergency call out for the entire 5 years. Our customers can be reassured that they won’t have to face any unexpected bills for which they haven’t budgeted.’’

And buyers at Hawthorn Meadows will also be able to take advantage of buying with Help to Buy – the government backed scheme.

Help to Buy, is giving first time buyers and those moving up the housing ladder the opportunity to buy with just a 5% deposit.

Help to Buy is made up an equity loan and mortgage guarantee. This means that you only need a 5% deposit to qualify for the best mortgage rates and then the Government will lend you up to 20% of the value of your property through an equity loan. Under Help to Buy you will own 100 per cent of your home.
