Low-deposit mortgages launched at Lovell development in Irvine

Househunters at The Courtyard – the high-quality development by award-winning housebuilder Lovell on Bank Street in the centre of Irvine - can now get a mortgage with as little as a five per cent deposit through a newly-launched scheme supported by the Scottish Government.

MI New Home, developed by industry body Homes for Scotland, has been designed to help people locked out of the housing market, or unable to move up the property ladder, because of the large deposits required by lenders.
Five-star housebuilder Lovell is one of the first developers to introduce the initiative offering up to 95 per cent mortgages. The scheme is available at The Courtyard to anyone looking to buy a new home - not just first-time buyers.

“This scheme has the potential to help many people currently unable to move, or buy their very first home, because of the size of deposit required,” says Lovell homebuying advisor Frances Gray. “MI New Home means that someone seeking to move into The Courtyard will only need a minimum five per cent deposit – making a major difference to affordability.”

Homes still available for sale at The Courtyard, which is right in the heart of Irvine and only a short walk from the main shopping centre and proposed new leisure centre, include smart two-bedroom apartments priced from £95,000. Modern in design and with a smart, contemporary feel, these would make ideal first homes.

In addition, Lovell has one remaining Dalmore three-bedroom townhouse for sale, with parking, at £184,995. This spacious family home offers flexible living space with its kitchen (equipped with integrated Bosch appliances), dining room and cloakroom on the ground floor. On the first floor is the lounge, bedroom with en-suite and family bathroom while on the second floor are two further bedrooms, one with en-suite. Lovell is also offering a number of tailored incentives on this superb property to interested buyers.

The Courtyard would be perfect for anyone working in Irvine or commuting to Kilmarnock or Ayr. Both the M77 and Glasgow Prestwick International Airport are less than 10 miles away while the development is less than a mile from Irvine railway station and only six miles from Troon ferry port.
